17 on finasteride?

hi im nearing 17 and im a diffuse thinner. i'm currently on minoxidil 2%, nizoral 1%, and T-gel.

everytime i brush my hair, hair falls out.

my derm. was about to recommend finasteride. but he said i should lay off that until i'm 18.

the question is: since im going to be 17 in a few months, would it be okay if i started finasteride at age 17? HairLossTalk.com said finasteride is perfect for diffuse thiners and maybe it's what im missing in my regimen.

your advice would be greatly appreciated... thanks

i started using finasteride when i was 17 years and 1 month old.. and im fine
=)
6 months with it.. hairloss seems to have stopped.. waiting for regrowth..
