Just saw a hairloss doctor today & was told my hair follicles are indeed minaturizing after they checked it w a microscope or smthin. They aren’t closed off yet tho. I’m still about a norwood 1.5, but my hairs thinning from vertex, temples, and hairline. It isn’t extreme yet, but the derm said 2 prp treatments + a laser cap for 6 months or more would stop my balding for a while until I’m older atleast. Obviously I knew this wasn’t completely true bc another derm said that I’d need some kind of dht blocker or anti androgen. I’m only 16 though & can’t get on propecia. Should I purchase a laser cap (if so what brand & the cost) still? & should I get on propecia anyways? If not what are some GOOD alternative dht blockers/anti androgens that are actually effective.

i think its over men

balding that aggressively at this age?

even if you would use finasteride - they mostly dont work that well at aggressiv balder...

and dht is kinda important during puberty,s

how is your family history?

Dad’s a norwood 3-4, his dad has a norwood 1, his brothers have pretty good hair too, maybe just slight recession. My mom’s dad is bald however & she suffers some hairloss too. Our uncles are really just half and half so our hairloss history really isn’t the best. But i’d say 60% are fine and the other 40 are balding.

Also my hairloss isn’t that aggressive it’s just I’m balding and at this rate it’s going at it’ll probably become noticeable soon if I don’t do something to stop it. Is there anything like RU or topicals I cam use to stop this? I haven’t started minoxidil yet. Currently just talking multi vitamins, nizoral 1%, & dermarolling my hairline.

I’ll post pics, but u can notice one side of my hairline looks like a horse shoe pattern is starting?

What should I do then. I really want to maintain what I have for the next 15 or so years atleast, but that sounds like a long shot. Since I can’t get on finasteride any alternatives?

You can get on minoxidil (kirkland,) dermarolling would help, that's pretty much it.
