I have bin on finasteride now for 11 months and I must admit I am not overly happy with the results. I am not blaming finasteride but not sure it has helped and I know the shedding it caused was bad and a lot of it.
My hair has thinned badly and I mean each hair strand, the over all density of my hair has also really gotten worse. The line that goes from my hair line to the back of my head has gotten bigger as you can see from my pics, and I now have parts all over my hair do the thinning all over my head. And my crown is now starting to thin out the hole in the crown is getting bigger, it is hard to tell from my pics but in real life its getting much easier to spot, especially when wet or under bright lights. My hair line is all but gone it is so thin I hate it.
I am going to start minoxidil this week to see if it will help thicken my hair and density back up. At this point I am considering dropping finasteride as I am not sure it is helping and why take it if it is not?
This is the worst my hair has looked yet.
My hair loss patter seems to be odd and in a different pattern then most the stuff I see it has also happened much faster then I expected. It has been less then one year and the change is drastic. So much loss in so little time i even had to change my hair style do to hair loss.
