no propecia though, thought maybe nizoral 3 times a week, rogaine foam once a day and maybe folligen twice a day

rogaine foam twice a day would honestly be in your best interest. Why don't you spend a little more to keep your hair looking rich and full??

I wonder if the people who claim these bad side-effects actually apply it correctly. It does after all, require some technique especially if you still have a lot of hair.

I actually suspect this is the case for those claiming to have good results with the liquid and none switching to the foam.

I put the foam in my right hand then rub my finger tips together and apply it to my temples hairline and rub it all the way into the back and get as much scalp as possible and I have a pretty good amount of hair and it does seem to be doing me quite well.

I'm starting to think maybe I got better results from 4mL of minoxidil than 1mL just because I was more consistent with the 4mL since I got satisfaction from knowing I covered everything. With 1mL, I was very annoyed because it seemed I was missing many spots, so I'd give up more.

By saying this I by no means say everyone should, but I also find that applying lots of minoxidil works great for me. (as a matter of fact, if I could just dip my top portion of the head in minoxidil it would be ideal, but of course I couldn't afford that)

I guess the answer to this is that I cover more area. And still, me being a NW2, 1ml. application seems to be way too little.

Yeah I hate the fact that my 2ml does not cover sh*t-all of my head. If I want to cover all the areas that need it with enough minoxidil, I need to use about 3ml.

What are everyone's thoughts on the best way to apply liquid? I use a cotton tip, but a lot seem to use a dropper. I just found with a dropper I was using too much in one area and not being able to spread it round enough.

If you don't try you're not gonna find out are you? I know it's almost like gambling (without a jackpot) trying to regrow hair, or even stop further hair loss... but ultimately it's up to you. You do tend to hear a lot about people NOT getting results from treatment on this forum, as lots of people like to complain about it.

Since I don't know where you're from and cannot evaluate your "300 bucks" in any form of currency, I reckon you just spend what you can on Propecia (or Proscar) and Rogaine and if there's any left get Nizoral and possibly folligen. In that order. They are the most valuable treatments, so if you're going to do start treatment, make it with those.

Not sure if you could afford 3 months worth of this though. Good luck :hairy:
