Hi guys

36 years old guy.....

Ok, I spent weeks reading everything on these forums 10 years ago when i noticed thinning and recieding.

I went for propecia and regaine. I had a big shed after 3 months(looked terrible), eventually at the 2 year mark it had recovered from the shed and stabalized with full coverage and the follwing 8 years i kept at the treatment and forgot about it and never had the itch. I think i noticed a coiple of times when i part my hair in the centre to apply regaine sometimes the width is much wider, im guessing all the hairs when i shed and cycle are in synch...... my theory anyway lol

Ok so over the last decade i have thineed very slowly, and recieded very slowly. nothing that would cause me to worry.

So i have full coverage with i'd say a 1.5 norwood, maybe nearly 2. So I'm very happy i would call the maintenance a success. My Dad was completely or very nearly completely bald by 40.

I'm a keen gym goer and like an absolute idiot i took a 12 week cycle in Testosterone injections. 500ml a week to try and put a bit of size on. yes i can see you all know shaking your heads!

I'm at the end of the 12 weeks and i have thinned quite a lot, more in the very centre of the top of my head, it looks pretty bad wet but i still have full coverage.....just. Constantly have the itch which makes me sad as i know thats where i'm losing hair. I bought some nizoral last week and its helped slightly. I have completely stopped the test cycle and will never touch it again.

Its damaged my hair, made it really thin and the itch/burn is often. I am an IDIOT! It was going so well

Is there any feedback on this? i.e - can i recover the hair i've lost? Will it keep getting worst? Should i up the dosage of finasteride to 2.5 instead of 1.25. Anyone suffered similar? Is it the test cycle? Can i add anythig to my treatment? Basically will my hair thicken up again? And was it going through a cycle/shed anyway - but i triggered it with the additional test.

Any feedback most welcome

John

You can try dutasteride, basically all you can do is to get back on treatments and pray that you will recover. And if you know that you are prone to male pattern baldness don't use steroids.. it's a dumb move.

Ok cheers guys. I ended the test cycle Sunday. Sat here now and the male pattern baldness itch/burn is driving me up the wall. I havent had it for years. This is the thinnest my scalp has ever been. Does anyone know about synchronised shedding? And if there's any hope i will regrow what i've lost over the last 3 months :(
