1 quick question on minoxidil & shedding

So I am seriously considering on starting minoxidil/rogaine yet I have a query in regards to the whole shedding issue:

Does your hair shed only in the place where you have applied minoxidil?
For example, I plan on only applying it to my temple area (or does it have to go over your entire head?) since that's where I'd like to try out for some regrowth, so should I expect shedding along my hair line?

Yes! Your hair will only shed where you apply the minoxidil.

I've been applying minoxidil to my temples for the last 14weeks with good results so far. The shed lasted for about 5 or 6 weeks, followed by thickening and some impressive regrowth.

Thing is, since I'd like to get some regrowth in my temple area, is it 'logical' to assume that I'll get minimal (or none) shedding since there's nothing to shedd?
