1,25mg of finasteride is the same results of 1mg?

hi i am on finasteride one year now, my hair is getting worst day by day now. i am thinking maybe go for dutasteride, but first i will maybe try this. i will start buying proscar, and cut the pill in 4 pieces, so the dosage goes to 1,25 mg. now i am taking the finasteride 1mg. can this increase of the dosage do any difference? please help.

There is no evidence that taking an dose higher than the recommended 1mg will have any benefits (other than saving you money).
I see you dont use Minoxidil, why not give that a try before you start with your Dutasteride.

I've been chomping down about 1.5 mgs of finasteride everyday cause I can't cut those pesky proscar pills up very well. I don't think it matters.
trentender is right, the scientific tests on finasteride concluded that benefits were maximised at 1mg.
