As I figured, I have some telling me to try it and some telling me to wait. I'm leaning towards 'try it.' I've been dealing with this sh*t for too long and it's really starting to bother me. If finasteride and minoxidil have shown no results at this point, then I can't see them ever producing...
I am (mildly) considering switching to dutasteride. I will briefly give you my story. Sorry if this is a repeat topic.
I've been taking finasteride for just under a year now. I have been taking minoxodil for about 4 months (2.5 months liquid, 1.5 foam... something like that). I am 20 years...
Hmmm, I'm getting some good information here. Thanks for the advice guys. I still have a full month's worth of liquid so I'm going to use that up for now. Like I states above, it was more than just itching. My scalp became red and inflamed. It seriously got to the point where I had to stop using...
Hmmm, now I'm starting to have second thoughts. First of all, yes I've been using Nizoral 3 times a week and it has done very little to stop this onslaught of itchiness the foam has brought about.
I have stopped using minoxodil altogether now for 2 days and my scalp is starting to look/feel...
Yeah buddy, I get it. I saw your other post. Thanks to rogaine you have a girlfriend.
Nuttyrich, thanks for the advice. You're right, I was using the foam in the morning and the liquid in the evening. Sometimes I only leave a 4 or 5 hour gap between applications without washing. This could...
Okay, if you haven't read some of my other posts... I switched from the liquid to the foam just over a week ago, but I've been using the foam in the morning and the liquid at night to use up my supply. Since starting on the foam I have noticed intense itching and it almost burns now when I apply...
I think I'm the only one on these boards that doesn't like the foam. I've only been using it for about a week now, so hopefully this will change. Since starting on the foam, my scalp has been way more itchy than with the liquid. I keep my hair really short, so the greasyness of the liquid never...
yeah I just switched to the foam this week (read my other post) and I believe I've had a mild shed. I don't know if it's too soon for that, but I buzzed my hair yesterday and my thinning is more noticeable than usual. I should update my pics to find out for sure. I hope this means it will be...
yeah, another reason why I like the liquid better is because it is easier to measure the 1ml dosage. With the foam, I'm finding it difficult to measure half the cap because it doesn't spread evenly.
I don't know if anyone else has noticed this, but I just started on the foam this week (I've been using the liquid for the past 2 months) and right away, I've found it to be more irritating on my scalp than the liquid was. The first day I applied it, I felt a slight tingling on my scalp. Is this...
Thanks for the advice guys. I think I'll do that.
I'll let you know how things turn out. My minoxidil and finasteride cycles seem to coincide as far as regrowth is concerned, so I hope I can report some success in the next few months.
Another thing I'd like to add... When reading about the foam on HairLossTalk.com, there was a point made that the foam has greater success rates than the liquid largely due to the fact that the liquid is more irritating and therefore people don't use it as often.
From my experience using the liquid, I do...
I apologize in advance, as I know this is probably a repeat topic, but it takes forever filtering out the useless info on these forums.
My situation:
I have diffuse thinning of the crown area. I am 20 years old, so thinning has only been occuring for the past couple years. I started using...
No, Proscar is not the same shape as Propecia. Propecia has a nice uniform shape which makes it ideal for cutting into quarters. Proscar has a bit of an obscure shape, hard to describe... very hard to cut up (If only there were an easier way).
As far as the prescription is conerned... I don't...
I live in British Columbia. I've had both Propecia and Proscar prescriptions paid for by my parents insurance. First 4 months Propecia, second 4 months Proscar... 100% paid for, no questions asked.
I don't think we need to worry about insurance fraud. Health insurance in Canada is a lot...
