I came out of the shower today with a handful of hair (mine is long so I can collect it all) - going through a major shed. Afterwards I put it up in a hair band and noticed that the left temple has never looked so bad. It's taking an absolute dicking if you excuse the expression. I think it's...

Hey Menace, Sorry to hear about your problems buddy - I have to say I'd consider stopping if I had the same problems as you... But I'd give it time though as it might just even out. I have the opposite problem to you - my sex drive is crazy now! I've been on for over three weeks now and it's...

Well I've been on finasteride for a couple of weeks now and it seems that the weak hairs are falling out which has affected my hairline. I've definately had a bit of a shed. I really don't want to receede any further so if adding roagaine foam will help me then I'll probably do it. It's just the thought...

Hey menace, I'm on finasteride at the moment and am considering adding rogaine foam to the mix - would you recommend it for hairlines?

Depressing ain't it?? But it feels good to be actually doing something about it. If I'm gonna lose my hair I might as well put up a fight. When it comes to the worst I just get it chopped off :punk:

Generall speaking - although I think it has increased since I've been on the meds but I assume that's the weaker hairs falling out 'under the influnce' so to speak... I wear my hair in a short ponytail relatively often so my receeding hairline is becoming noticable. That's the one thing I want...

Well I've been on it for about ten days now and I've noticed a bit more shedding but I assume that's the drug doing its work. As I have long hair it is far easier to notice sheds etc. As my hairline is starting to take a pounding (especially at the temples which have all but disappeared) I'm...

Hi guys - just ordered my first batch of finpecia... this time round! Age: 21 - receeding since 18. I started it about a year ago but then my finances, or lack of, meant that I had to stop which undid all the good work. From what I remember the first time there was noticable reduction in...

    How long for regrowth...

hmmm now these responses are a little confusing - I'm after your own experiences as to how long it took for you to start regrowing after the first major shed...

    Propecia may contribute to neurodegeneration

Bubka - without attemtping to sound rude you are either ignorant or completely missing the point. Where do the studies in the first two posts mention side effects concerning libido etc??? They concern themselves with the effect that finasteride might have on neurodegeneration - a perfectly valid...

Jesus reading both of those is worrying indeed. I'm on finpecia and have been for two months but am now seriously considering stopping - I'd rather keep my mental capacity than my hair! Are both of you taking finasteride? Does this worry anyone else?
