It's hard to tell as there's nothing to compare it to. But my initial impression was that no, you don't have any hair loss. I'd wait like 6 months and post some updated pictures then to see if anything has changed. Until then I wouldn't worry about it.
Do you think it's gotten any worse in these last two months? And how's your hairline? Some current pics might help more too, possibly from further away and/or with flash.
Really? I actually don't really see the horseshoe pattern that much, might the loss of overall density that makes it look worse. Maybe I need to start measuring my hairline for recession though....
I would take Rogaine first, but I'll see what a dermatologist recommends.
Ok, thanks for the input. I am going to try and see one in the next few months. Do you know if stress could lead to something like this btw? And does it resemble diffuse thinning?
Yeah I'm not seeing much of a difference between temples lol. Maybe your hairline has receded like a cm in the last 4 years, if at all. You're fine for now man, maybe update in a year.
So you think this is classic crown baldness? That's what I thought at first, but in the pics you can see how much scalp shows near the middle. The very front isn't as bad, but it's close. You can see here (I bring my hair up to emphasize the scalp if anyone didn't figure that out):
Also, do...
Here's some pics of my hairline. It's pretty freaking low, and I don't think it's receded at all in the last few years. The temples have thinned out some, in my opinion, especially compared to my hairline in high school so i'm a little worried about that. Thoughts?
The last 3 months:
A year...
Hi everyone. Just want some opinions as to whether I (24 yo) have diffuse thinning, or some other kind of hair loss. I go through periods where I think I'm actually fine, and it's all in my head and that I'm making it worse (read below for details), to realizing that I am balding and it's...
