Has anyone tried upping their does to increase effectivness? I have had no success on 0.5 and have heard that the drug can be well tolerated at these higher doses, increasing effectiveness

I can't identify if it's fake but as many have pointed out before, it's hard to understand why fraudsters, presumably looking to make a lot of money, would embark on faking minoxidil foam as a way of doing that since it's so cheap to make in the first place.

I'm inclined to agree with the above and it's depressing to hear, if not surprising given the history of hairloss treatments. I have similar doubts about Pyrilutamide, leaving only the GT formulation coming from the same Chinese company.
