Seen it mentioned a few times, what is it and does it actually do anything?

Thanks guys, still have that worry in my head. It’s not so much immediate side effects, as I’ll just stop taking it if I experience bad sides. It’s more in a year or so, where for some reason I have to stop taking it. I’ve heard stories of permanent ED, does this cruelly happen?

I’m 20 and thinking about starting finasteride. I’m pretty much done growing, but my beard is still coming through, I’m worried that starting finasteride would halt my beard growth, could this happen? Also, I’ve read all the stories of permanent irreversible erectile dysfunction, does this actually happen...
