i believe most Docs know about finasteride/propecia as a hairloss treatment since t has been around for a while. if the Doctor doesn't know you can def ask her to look into it and see if they'll prescribe it then. Usually Derms are cool about prescribing it, i think you just went to the wrong doctor.

i have almost the same symptoms minus the adderall. I had the same liver elevated function and Seb D and greasy scalp. did the docs prescribe you anything for the elevated liver enzymes?

i think you should continue taking it for another few months, you will most likely see a positive change.

There are people who have been on Propecia for a long time without any problems. Maybe listening to a "newbie" is not such a good idea. Also, i've read peoples sex drive increases while on Propecia.

While you were losing hair, did you notice any changes on your scalp for ex: greasy, crusty or anything? did you shed at all with finasteride?

I don't know what a miniaturization test is, but i'm going to look into at other dermatologist. As for now, i'll be getting some blood work done to figure out if its something internally. I'm trying to get it checked out asap so if it is male pattern baldness i can start on the meds. - - - Updated - - -...

Thank you Massa, but the issue for me is i don't know if i have male pattern baldness or not. if i do i can start the finasteride regimen, if not i can go a different route. hopefully someone comes across with the same issue as me and can help me out.

From what i've read the sides should go away, and maybe lowering the dose of finasteride. Also, its better to continue the regimen to get some type of results, you just have to be patient.
