Something I've noticed, and probably doesnt matter, but I take Niacin (500mg) and have never felt the flush anywhere on my scalp after taking it. Everywhere else on body, and as high as the back of my neck, i feel it. I microneedled yesterday at 3pm and took niacin at 7am this morning and i can...
I agree shitty pics, but it does look like regrowth on that temple. I found it curious he takes oral minoxidil only on days he microneedles and one other random day.
Theres a new study showing its not vitamin d levels that we should care about, but how much our body converts it to is active form. In other words, it doesn't matter how much you supplement or get in the sun, if your body isn't converting it to its active form, then its a waste.
Beta blockers block norepinephrine. They are cheap and widely available. If they worked internally we would have known by now, but what about topically?
Are you following some type of anti-aging protocol, or is all of that just for hair?
BTW, akg looks to help with hydrogen peroxide buildup in some way, which is the reason hairs go gray (follicles buildup h2o2). Would be nice to kill 2 birds with akg.... Of course we have this whole internal...
I got mine from Amazon , but this is it. Just using a couple drops on temples . Have no idea what concentration it is .

Not rapamycin, but I have started using alpha ketoglutarate on my temples. It's the other autophogy inducing metabolite mentioned. I have no idea if it will work , but it was already in liquid form, so figured what the hell. Nothing to report yet .
I took the MyDNAage test before I started NR, Resv, and Berberine (metformin alternative). I'm 38 and my biological age is 39. Once I've taken these for 6 months, I'll retest to see if there is a difference. No noticeable results on hair.
Could be wrong, but looks like he's talking about disorganized collagen. Maybe microneedling promotes regular collagen production, or reduces disorganized?
Tretinoin is another product that produces collagen and is proven to help with hair loss.
If thick skin was the cause of hairloss, all...
So what does this all mean?
I'm about to start David Sinclair's stack of NR/NMN, Resveratrol, and Berberine (sub for metformin). NAD will theoretically increase. I'm also on finasteride.
Testing biological age before I start.
Topical Metformin and topical Rapamycin could be obtained too. Metformin has been around for ages and has a good safety record. It's currently being studied for longevity.
I too have been reading up on autophagy recently and have begun doing the 16:8 intermittent fasting which supposedly...

Figured this might be relevant to this thread. Is p16 involved in Androgenetic Alopecia?
"After eight months, the majority of the rapamycin hands showed increases in collagen protein, and statistically significant lower levels of p16 protein, a...
