I hear ya man...im 19 too and im just trying to maintain what i have. Im taking everything u are tho, minoxidil, finasteride, and i just got some nizoral. I suggest you take some pics so you can judge your progress better and see what is working for you. good luck.

finasteride has a half life of six hours. Meaning that after six hours only half of it is left...12 hours a quarter, 18 and eighth..ect. I take 1.25mg per day but i take half in the morning and half at night. I dont know if it actually works better this way because im only at 4 months right now...

how long have you been on your regimen?? Did u start right when your hairloss started?? If i were you i would stick with finasteride and minoxidil because you dont have to worry about sheds if you shave your head. Just give it a year at least....maintinence should be your goal until something better comes...

I have been taking 1/8th a pill of 5mg finasteride twice a day, once in morning and once at night. So this is roughley .625mg per dose or 1.25 per day. I started doing this because i read that finasteride has a relatively short half life, 6 hours i think. Has anyone else tried this, if so, with what success...

Youngin..i would look into propecia. If you buy generic proscar(fincar) and cut the tabs in 4ths or 5ths its actually pretty cheap. I was on it when i was just about to turn 18. I took about 5 months off but im 19 now and ive been on for 3 months. minoxidil doesnt treat the problem it just slows...
