Hi, why does we hair makes hair appear thinner than it really is?

Are all the hairs the same thickness in people without male pattern baldness? or they also have thinner hairs?. Because I read that they also have miniaturized hairs.

Two weeks ago I was involved in a fight where the guy pulled some hair at the center of my hairline. A few days before these i noticed a lot of new hairs growing in that area. Is it possible that the pulled hairs are being replaced so fast? or those new hairs are not the pulled ones?

Exactly jad1 you understood my point very clearly. Even women have baby hairs and miniaturized hairs in the edges of their hairlines, my mom has lots of this kind of hairs and has an amazing head of hair. How can you distinguish by looking at this hairs if you are balding or not?
