Well if the colour match is totally off or the density is way too much,that's the only dead giveaway it's a hair piece. Or an exposed hairline with visible poly or lace.

Pretty damn cheap prices on SuperHairPieces for lace bases like £170 though. Cheap enough to take risks etc. I will continue to use them if the quality turns out to be good.

If you want the fitting etc. Go with Mike Ford(HairReplacementStylist). Not cheap but cheaper than most hair replacement salons offering the same. He can get custom systems in 8-10 weeks by rush delivery, or 12-15 weeks without.

True. I have waited 6-8 months for a custom hair systems which took the piss to arrive and thought I had lost my money before,during the pandemic.

Fully bonded UTS or Swiss lace base is almost undetectable.

No worry of hairs pulling through the wrong side of the lace,with poly. If lace is submerged in water when cleaning and shampooing the residue off the base hairs can pull the wrong way through the base. Meaning they wont go the correct way through the base ever,and have to be cut off. Cleanup...
