Say if you get growth with oral minoxidil and are on finasteride at the same time. If you then stop the minoxidil will the finasteride maintain the new growth or will it fall out?

Good option but for me personally I think it would have an even worse effect on my body hair than the topical. The fine hair I have on my cheekbones and ears started turning dark.

It greatly slows it down, maybe not stops it completely. Its better than nothing, maybe dutasteride is an option. Minoxidil did nothing for me apart from making my body hair thicker, not to mention it makes your already thin hair look worse whole it's on.

Just get him on propecia if he's willing to take it. It should halt his hair loss for a long time and see him through his 20s at least. A man balding in his 30s isn't too out there.

Still has a full head of hair at 80, Reagan level genetics. It takes a good 15 years off his looks.
