1322 Total: ARTAS (mostly) + Manual FUE (Dr. Yates, Chicago)

FUE is great at least with a manual punch in the right hands, but I personally think ARTAS is a worthless way to get FUE done... not sure why I even bothered...

1322 Total: ARTAS (mostly) + Manual FUE (Dr. Yates, Chicago)

18 months I don't have a happy story to tell you guys... I regret getting this procedure done. I feel as if the hairline design of it being really straight and having a very visible density difference with my natural hair beneath doesn't look natural to me. I think this could have maybe...

9 months still expecting more yield but new hairs are popping up

    I am going for FUT

FUT is only maybe a good idea if you are desperate for a large amount of grafts (3k+) in one session. I think large sessions where large amounts of grafts are transplanted at once is too risky of a session anyway. In my frame of thought, the only good reason to go FUT is if you exhausted all...

2700 grafts with FORHAIR Cole Hair Transplant

As much as I am curious about the recipient area, please also post pictures the donor area too.

Your opinions on getting an hair transplant when not on meds?

Still risky for a young guy in his 30s to get a transplant without medication (at least some form of 5-ar inhibitor or topical anti-androgen) regardless of the level of loss. If you're going to do it, start off slow with 1000 grafts or less and slowly get more procedures done if you feel like it...

1322 Total: ARTAS (mostly) + Manual FUE (Dr. Yates, Chicago)

5.5 months post op fresh #2 electric razor shave. Finally got someone to help me take pictures. EDIT: My electric razor does not represent the traditional #2 (1/4th inch) correctly, this is much closer or is exactly a #1 guard setting (1/8th inch). The shockloss in the donor area recovered very...

5 months Here are the 5 month post op pics. Still no haircut since late January. One of the pictures is wet with hair styled up. No concealers used in any of the pictures.

Everyday with finasteride including topical RU58841. Most likely overkill and slightly pointless but whatever

It's not all regrowth, a lot of it is shedding. But the shedding gives you a good idea where my male pattern baldness was going. Dutasteride side effects are a bumpy ride, seems the longer I am on it the more I am used to it.

Just the dutasteride sheds. All medication, has nothing to do with transplants. I would have probably been fine with the medication alone hehe

Dr. Hakan ********* 2835 Grafts FUE

Probably! Just after talking with a seasoned hair transplant veteran of many years in person, I started to question myself even more. I guess it's not such a bad thing seeing more hair in the front day after day. Getting over the worst phase of shockloss within the first month was the hard part...

Dr. Hakan ********* 2835 Grafts FUE

I understand. The work looks great, I just want the younger people to be careful. I was originally planned for 1000 but I decided to push it further on my own behalf. I guess I was trying to blow myself away with the results without thinking about the future too much. Ya I am maintaining well...
