    forero medio's story

Hello, I think I read somewhere that the molecular weight of dutasteride was too high to work on a topical version, but it could be interesting to try. For the topical finasteride vehicle I use PPG, distilied water and ethanol (33% each). In a 10ml container I put the vehicle and 10mg of...

I don't use topical spironolactone at the moment, don't think it adds much. Yes, still on nizoral and h&s, leaving it on the head for only 2 minutes doesn't make my scalp irritated. Overreacting? The sooner you treat your hair loss the more time you will enjoy your hair.

In worse condition for sure. finasteride stabilized the loss and maybe helped regrow a little. Every treatment should include finasteride, without it, is a lost battle. There are reports of people holding onto their results in the long term (10+ years). That should give us all hope :)

    forero medio's story

-Yes, liquid minoxidil. Here in Spain the label is called "Viñas", but any 5% liquid minoxidil should be the same. -Not irritation per se, but sometimes my crown gets more sensitive. When I apply emu oil and topical finasteride there it gets better. -Yes, right now I use H&S shampoo the days...

    forero medio's story

Sometimes I just drop the Proscar tablets into the Minoxidil hehe Anyway the right way to do it is with PPG, ethanol and distilled water, make the mix with finasteride tablets made powder and apply it with a pipette. Hope this helps.

    forero medio's story

I had crown thinning and now its normal hair. The hair was miniaturized there, now its not. A doctor diagnosed me with male pattern baldness.

    forero medio's story

Emu oil has a study that proves anti inflammatory properties, that's why i use it. I think Androgenetic Alopecia has a micro inflammatory component. Recently another topical finasteride study has been published by some swedish guys i think proving its as effective as the oral. I take both, but since i added the...

    forero medio's story

I make it myself with proscar, mixing it with the minoxidil... and lately I've been making it with its own vehicle (ethanol, ppg,, water). I started with 0.05% concentration, but now i've upped it to 0.25% because i dont have any side effects.

today I cut my hair to 2cm (0.8 inches), here are the photos I think topical finasteride and emu oil have made a very positive difference in my hair, it feels MUCH thicker.

Hello, 23rd month update: This is my current regimen: 1. Oral finasteride: 1mg/day. 2. Topical finasteride: 1-2mg/day. I've been using it 3 months and the quality of my hair has improved, so i'll keep using it. 3. Minoxidil 5%: twice a day. 4. Nizoral shampoo: 2/3 times a week. 5. Emu oil...

    Rogaine-Nizoral 1% Update: 1months and 3 weeks

Maybe some of them will grow a bit longer to make a cosmetic difference. You are young so I think its possible, but who knows. Anyway, your thinning will continue if you don't use finasteride, so I recommend you go to your doctor and ask for it.

My Big 3++ story...Month 11 update! Coming close to one year

Hello. Your story is very similar to mine. I'm on my 13th month of finasteride/min/keto and like you the crown is the problematic area. Our 1 year results are the same, thickening of existing hair and a little regrow. My shedding timeline has been like this: months 1-5: no shedding months 6-8: some...
