Did anybody try Laser device with any sort of success?

I have to agree, looks like a very well-designed study with a reputable team behind it and blinded!. Not sure how the laser detractors simply ignore it...

Old interview with Cotsarelis (must read IMHO)

This study has always fascinated me. All three treatments helped significantly. That tells me the delivery method is the key (iontophoresis). We spend 99.9% of our time worrying about WHAT we put on our head, when in fact, it may may be HOW we put it on our head, that matters. - - - Updated - -...

Raspberry ketone: boosts IGF-1 and is a antiandrogenic, add to Dermaroller minoxidil mix?

I use Capillogain (in addition to minoxidil+DR), which contains raspberry ketones. I think it has helped me quite a bit although always hard to say when using multiple treatments.

Not to sidetrack things, but this new curcumin product recently launched and is apparently a white powder...could be interesting. http://www.nutraingredients-usa.com/Suppliers2/Is-curcumin-the-next-omega-3-Sabinsa-expects-so-with-game-changing-Curcumin-C3-Reduct

    New Dermaroller Study; Thoughts, comments?

Seems like castor oil is worth a shot...it apparently binds to the EP3 receptor, which is the same receptor that PGE2 works on to increase FGF9. There are quite a few anecdotal reports from women about it helping grow hair faster and/or thicker.

    Propecia decreases bioavailable testosterone!

I'm pretty sure Merck tested Total T, not Free (or bioavailable) T.

    Propecia decreases bioavailable testosterone!

I'm surprised this discussion has faded. Seems to me that the reduction in free testosterone could explain a few of the "propecia mysteries"...1) impact on libido, 2) why older men are more severely affected, 3) potentially some of the cognitive effects. How is the FDA able to approve a drug...

    Quitting Propecia After 9 Years

If you buy an exacto knife you can cut it into .125mg. I did it when i tapered off the drug.

    Quitting Propecia After 9 Years

Just keep cutting it shorter as your hair gets thinner. I've been through about 6 different lengths over the last 2 years. Now that i'm getting to "very short" I definitely get some comments from people I haven't seen in a while. No one really cares. It is definitely stressful, just not the end...

    Quitting Propecia After 9 Years

I'm not going to lie...i've been toying with the idea of going on .125mg. I look pretty good with a #1 cut though so shaved might look fine too (but I do like having a good hairline). As for not being early-20s again, I agree. However, there is no doubt my libido went up when off finasteride. Plus, I...

    Quitting Propecia After 9 Years

I quit finasteride after 12 years on the drug (started at age 21). I have very aggressive balding genes (younger brother is a nw6 at age 28). I maintained a nw1 up until i quit - i must be a great responder. I would say i lost 20% of my hair in the first 6 months after quitting. Then it stabilized for...
