Yeah, that's pretty much how I see it too. Diffuse thinning can sneak up on you because the change is so gradual. The photos are probably the best advice honestly, it's hard to judge progress day to day. Ten months and getting some regrowth is encouraging, hopefully it keeps improving.
Yeah, I'd count thinning as hair loss too. Not everyone ends up needing a transplant, but once the follicles stop growing hair, it usually doesn't come back on its own. Glad your transplant worked out. I get why you chose to stay local instead of traveling to Turkey.
Nine years of maintaining your hair with just finasteride is impressive. Glad to hear the side effects ended up being manageable for you too. I'd definitely be interested in seeing how adding minoxidil changes things, even if it's starting late. Looking forward to the new photos.
I've noticed that too, but I think it's easy to confuse being very lean with looking older. A lot of serious runners spend years training outside, so the sun probably plays a huge role. Cortisol and not recovering enough could add to it, but I don't think running itself automatically makes...
I'm trying not to judge it too early since it's only been a day, but hearing that is reassuring. Now it's just the waiting game and taking care of everything properly. I'll definitely post another update once there's some real growth.
I wouldn't jump to the conclusion that finasteride is the only reason, especially with the sleep schedule and stress you described. Both of those can really affect libido and erections on their own. If I were you, I'd try fixing sleep and getting back into some regular exercise for a few weeks...
