Thinking I'm About To Start minoxidil-need A Little Advice

I think I will end up doing that at some point, but for the first 6ish months I'm on it, I think I'll stick to putting it on my noticeably thinned crown. I want to see how well I respond, and if I shed it out, well it won't be that big of a deal because it's very thin up top anyway. Since I...

Thinking I'm About To Start minoxidil-need A Little Advice

Do you apply it twice a day? The foam looks really easy to apply, but I was considering trying one dose. I had read that the half life of minoxidil would allow for once a day application. If the general consensus is that once a day is a waste then I have no problem going twice a day. Just trying to...

Thinking I'm About To Start minoxidil-need A Little Advice

Unfortunately my doctor told me it would be a very bad idea for me to start finasteride due to a pre-existing condition. He did say I could have some success with minoxidil, though. I wouldn't really mind going bald someday, just not today haha! If rogaine could be used to thicken up my crown, and...

Thinking I'm About To Start minoxidil-need A Little Advice

I posted this thread in another sub forum, but I'm thinking I'll get more results here. This is what I posted: Hello everyone, I'm a 26 year old male and I started thinning out when I was 20/21. It started with my temples, but I didn't really care/worry about it. A couple of years ago I noticed...

About To Start minoxidil- Need Advice On Where To Apply It

Thanks for the quick reply, I am still holding out hope that I got my hair genes from my father. He has a bald spot in the same area that I am thinning, but (other than the temples) his hair hasn't really fallen out over the years, just on the crown. My grandfather on my mother's side was...

About To Start minoxidil- Need Advice On Where To Apply It

Hello everyone, I'm a 26 year old male and I started thinning out when I was 20/21. It started with my temples, but I didn't really care/worry about it. A couple of years ago I noticed my crown was thinning out. I still have hairs on my crown, but they are MUCH thinner than any other hairs on my...

Looking for some advice on thinning/balding. I'm screwed!

QUOTE=zzzzz;1246294]None of those things you are taking do a single thing to help male pattern baldness. First line should be finasteride. This should stop your hairloss long term. It is impossible to have long term success without preventing DHT from getting to your follicles (such as an inhibitor like finasteride)...

Looking for some advice on thinning/balding. I'm screwed!

Hey everyone, I just recently turned 25 and like many others I am noticing my hair getting thinner and thinner. When I was in college, I noticed my hair line falling back around the temples, this happened when I was around 20. Another 2-3 years later and I noticed the crown of my head was beyond...

My hair's thinned rapidly over the last 6 months, should I start worrying? [19]

Ha! you're making me and many other users jealous, brother. Looks fine to me, but wouldn't hurt to keep closer tabs on it.

    Is it happening...

I don't think it looks too bad, man. Hair loss hits everyone differently. I probably had about as much hair as you when I was 18, I am 25 now and it has at least taken a hiatus from falling back. The thinning on the crown is what scares me, but as many users have suggested, now may be the best...

Can you have a receding hairline since birth or am I screwed?

You can have a widow's peak from a very young age (or birth I imagine) as it is genetic. I remember a bio teacher telling me that having a widow's peak in high school didn't bode well for my hair longevity, no idea if this is actually true. But here I am, so he may be on to something.

Is there a relationship between facial hair and male pattern baldness?

I wish, I can't grow a beard if my life depended on it. Even less body hair. Still losing the hair that matters, unfortunately!

What Age Did You Start Balding....

I noticed my hairline falling back while at school, I was 20-21. The thinning on top of my head started at 22-23. I am 25 now, The receding at my temples hasn't gotten worse but I can tell I'm missing at least half of the amount of hair I once had on my crown.
