nizoral did cause me to shed/lose hair. for some people, the chemicals in it are just too harsh. you'll find out whether or not nizoral is suitable for you rather quickly i'd say. it only took 3 uses for me before i started shedding like a dog. I've stopped since b/c it gave me headaches and...
Thanks. I've done a bit more research of it since and I can't say I'm overly impressed. While there may be some alleged DHT blocking properties in nizoral, it's apparently an incredibly small amount so you're still risking your hair to 90% (I made the figure up) of the other nasty chemicals in nizoral...
Your second comment was rude and unnecessary. We're all here to help each other if and when we can.
Anyway.
From what I've read, common stress from work or school is unlikely to cause any hair loss/shed. So unless you're stress because of a chronic illness or experienced a traumatic...
After using it only 3 times across a week and a half I've decided to stop using it altogether.
My experience has been quite negative even though I used 1% and I leave it on my head for around 2 - 3 mins. It not only gave me headaches and brain-fog, it made my scalp incredibly dry and shed my...
I would like to read up on these studies if it's possible. Out of the big 3, Nizoral is one I know of the least. And what I do know is that it's supposedly treat irritation or inflammation caused by Rogaine and finasteride.
My experience with Nizoral has been quite negative. It not only gave me...
I don't see the rush for Nizoral like everyone is suggesting unless you have or know you will get head irritation or inflammation after using Rogaine. Nizoral may just cause unnecessary headaches and brain-fog like it did me
I knew it would sound crazy when I wrote it but on some level, the increase in androgen to grow facial hair which in turn causes hair loss made sense to me. :dunno:
And this is probably unrelated but may contributed to my crazy idea is how I often read about how people notice an increase in...
I can't grow facial hair naturally so over the last year I've been using a product called Hair A-Gain. The product contains minoxidil so it's intended to grow hair on your head but the pharmacist I bought it from said it should work for growing facial hair too. So I've been applying it to my jaw...
you do have quite a high temple for someone your age. As for the top of your head, perhaps the flash on your camera makes more of your scalp visible then it really is
are you on finasteride by any chance? finasteride is suppose to make you shed severely since it effects your whole scalp unlike rogain where you just shed in areas you apply it to
Did you notice any major shedding during the few years you were on Proscar on its own?
finasteride is suppose to more effective with those in the 20s than any other age group from what I've read so I do hope for you (and myself since I'm in my early 20s) that it's just a phase.
Oh i don't doubt its performance. Having to go through the shedding process before new hair grows and the commitment of applying it day and night for the next several months does deter me somewhat.
I do have another question for everyone.
Does Rogaine only shed hair that is already in the...
