I also wondered the same thing, check out Dr.Cole in Atlanta from his website he offers a non shaven FUE option, I haven’t done a transplant (yet) so I can’t speak to the results.

From your description it doesn’t sound like a failed hair transplant but more like an early hair transplant. I don’t think your hair loss was stable, seems like your experiencing a normal recession, you should have waited before getting a hair transplant to see how far it was going to progress or taken medication to control the loss...

While topical finasteride does seem promising with regards to reduced systemic side effects Almirall has only submitted for EU FDA approval which should hopefully be by the end of this year meaning you’ll have to find somewhere to order it online and hope it’s legit, no North America FDA...

I think it will also depend on the angle it grows out, if it curls forward then up I think you’ll be ok. Can I ask how many grafts you got? Also if you are going to get a second hair transplant how many donor grafts did the dr say you have left? Are you taking meds?

How are you using Clascoterone cream when it was just recently submitted for FDA approval and not expected until Aug 2020?

Ahh ok that helps I was able to find an update in their 9M 2019 Business Update page: - Finasteride (androgenic alopecia) submitted to EMA in September; looks like they are ahead of schedule, hopefully approved soon and it can be shipped to North America

Now that Polichem has finished their trials on topical finasteride has anyone heard any updates? I’m assuming they now have to file with the FDA but that could take a year before it comes to market, maybe because it’s an existing drug it will get approved sooner?
