Former hairlosstalk (among other hair loss forums) member beginning in 2007 under the name Dogs3. Lost account info when I stopped posting in early 2014 because of successful treatments and busy schedule (my account was linked to a defunct edu email).
I have taken avodart for ten years with no sides and great results. Four years into treatment I got a small FUE procedure that basically gave me back a NW1.
Switched to finasteride in December 2018 because I am planning on having a child. Although I have come across zero evidence that avodart can cause any defects, I want to play it as safe as possible. Plus, in my mid thirties I am not so concerned with my hair anymore. Certainly not like I was at 22.
