I haven't noticed any reduction, or increase, in body hair after 15 mo on dutasteride. If finasteride hasn't affected your body hair in any way, then it's doubtful that dutasteride will either.

Dutasteride is the best internal 5ar inhibitor out there right now. It's not dangerous; don't believe the hairloss forum fearmongers. After enough time has passed, it will be proven that dutasteride is as safe as finasteride.

Complete rubbish. I've been on Reddy's Dutas for 15 months and it's been nothing but a Godsend. My hair looks better than it has in years.

Fluridil and dutasteride are a good combo. I think it's doing the job for me. However, I honestly think you need to give finasteride at least six months and preferably a year before you bail. 3-4 months isn't long enough.

I experienced groin pain when taking finasteride--particularly during the first six months, or so. It eventually stopped, although it would reemerge every once and awhile for a day or two during my finasteride tenure. Funny, I've never had any groin pain at all on dutasteride.

I have to ask: why do you think you need to get a bloodtest just because you're on propecia? This seems a little silly, to me. Unless you suspect propecia is causing a specific physiological problem, what's the point? If your DHT level is low, which it most assuredly is if you're taking finasteride...
