Long time Propecia user, switched to Avodart 2 years ago when I noticed hairline begining to recede again. Started using Nizoral shampoo 3X/week same time as switch to Avodart. No results, so added 5% minoxidil Foam 2X/day for 6 months, still no results. Additionally I regularly use liquid dishsoap in conjuction with regular shampooing to cut down on my oily hair- I've heard that this is also effective in further reducing DHT levels in the scalp. I have never had any sides from any of the above, including no danduff or other issues from using the dishsoap. Feedback from my Dermotologist is that "it's genetics, nothing I can do about it." I'm not interested in hair transplant surgery. I've read very little about PGD2, not sure if that may be the issue for my hairloss rather than DHT levels given my regimen. I'd really like some feedback from others on this site regarding my situation and possible alternatives to my current regimen.
