As usual I'm trying to remain grounded and not get my hopes up to avoid shattered expectations. It's difficult since this seems to hold so much potential. I find it surprising that no one on the YouTube vlogs has covered it. Also I haven't seen anything mentioned on tressless.
A new...
This seems to be promising, I'm most pleased about the use of macaques and their response to the drugs. Hopefully this goes somewhere, seems as if it really can be effective if testing is not stopped prematurely.
Honestly if they could somehow stretch to 20% or even 30% that would be incredible. A hair transplant plus samumed for maintenance would be a huge plus in my book.
Dr Osman making those outlandish claims doesn't sit well with me. However I prefer to wait for Phase 3 results to see what we have...
Bold claims, extremely bold claims. He never mentioned that the baldness cure was tested on humans. He just stated that your hair comes back and with the same colour of your 20's.
It seems like a crock of bs. We'll see though. It feels like he is trying to appeal to investors
This is a step in the right direction. This has never been done before. The publishing of the paper can also help other scientists who understand the jargon completely. The most difficult part of this all is that it's a waiting game.
We can't throw out speculative timelines because we aren't...
I think it's a step in the right direction. Never before has it been possible to replicate human hair follicles yet alone by a factor of 100. Then on top of that have 80% of them be present after 3 or more cycles.
All that remains to be seen is how it works out in humans. How safe, effective...
I'm really trying to be as balanced as possible so I will take your words with a grain of salt. The amount of times the hype has gotten to me only to be let down. I just can't let it happen again.
Also what is the measure of success? Is it a few hairs grown in mice or humans? I guess we will...
I want to remain in that comfortable medium of neither optimist nor pessimist. Just "waitandseeist" hoping it will lead to better things but I still believe it may require more years to be accessible to the public.
I think I like Eugenix but the lack of African patients is slightly daunting. I think if I was to go abroad that would be the place for me. Like you say Turkey seems very hit or miss but I think Asli Tarcan seems like a decent clinic.
@WallaceMa76
Thankfully I don't get keloid scarring so that's definitely a plus.
That's the clinic! Yeah I'm so skeptical about hair transplanting procedures so I'm very nervous, but a lot of their results have been good. I've seen one or two with not that great a yield but a lot have been great. I've seen...
Thanks for that thorough response. I wanted to avoid the FUT procedure at first but the mere fact that there is less chance of over-harvesting I think I would prefer it. I don't mind the scar since I would want to grow my hair out.
What do you think of Natural Hair Transplants? I've seen that...
