Results from finasteride usually aren't apparent until 6-12 months into treatment. You shouldn't up your dose to anything above 1.25mg. Is finasteride the only product you're using for treatment?

Have you tried taking Ditropan to stop sweating? It's what I use now. Back when I lived in the states I used, I think it was called robinal. Insurance should cover it, stops excessive sweating.

From what I know regarding minoxidil, it will work indefinitely. HOWEVER because it doesn't stop the root cause of balding (DHT), if you're treatment is limited to minoxidil only, then yes it would appear to only work for an x amount of time. As the DHT buildup will eventually win out over the...
