I had visited a derm sometime last week, she said it was all due to dandruff but she didnt even bother to take a look at my hair. If it really is male pattern baldness, I just wanna know how long does it usually take for people to start noticing?

How long do you estimate that I go bald and the fact that I have male pattern baldness becomes very apparant to others. My hair looks normal at a glance, people often say my hair looks good. Its just the crown that has been thinning and makes my scalp visible but only under harsh lighting.

Im 17. My hair seems to be thinnning at the crown and my scalp is visible under direct light or even outdoors. My hair also falls out whenever I rub my hair (I can count over 30 strands that have fallen if I keep rubbing). I have no apparent receeding hairline...
