Yeah I had severe redness and itchiness.
I learnt to ease off and allow the scalp to calm down. This meant not apply minoxidil in those spots for a night or morning. In the whole scheme of things, a night or two skipped isn't going to have any effect on your hair regrowth. What you want is a...
When I first experienced hairloss I came across an article about Sodium Laureth Solfate. So I cut back on my shampooing to twice a week with a SLS free shampoo. Within 6 months the hairloss had excellerated badly and I needed to look at starting a regime.
I currently shampoo and condition...
A trick I use is to meaure the 1ml into an old medicine cup and then use a cotton bud to apply directly to the scalp. I part the hair progressively from one side to the other until I've finish the 1ml.
Hope that helps anyone.
I havn't used those products you've listed so hopefully someelse can jump in and help there.
For about 6months when I first started I had bad itching and dandruff. I now have it under control with Head and Shoulder everyday, conditioner everday, and Nizoral 1% every third day. If I skip H&S...

Snipes, A$75? What's the site?
varmax, I have a lasercomb but I won't rave about it. It does make my hair briefly fuller and shiney, but I doubt I've grown anything from it. If you read the Body and Soul liftout of Sunday's paper (I believe that...
I'm in Australia too.
I went to an epharmacy store (not an online one) and they have Nizoral 1% as well as Proscar for A$90.
Anyone seen Proscar cheaper than A$90?
Also, Price Attack has a few products as well such as Rogaine and (forget the name) another minoxidil I've seen mentioned...
I've heard mixed reports about sulfate. When I was working in a stressful kitchen I always washed my hair each night with cheap Garnier shampoo which had sulfate in it. When I read about sulfate I stopped using it completely and bought a sulfate free shampoo (and at the same time I quit the...
Yeah this happen to me in certain lights. Especially bathroom lights.
My question is this: If we have regrown a lot of our hair, how is it that strong light can make it look bald again?
Play around with it. Try different products. Sometimes your scalp can get use to one type of shampoo. I still get it off and on. And I expect to continue managing it with different shampoos for as long as I'm using minoxidil.
Some else can correct me if I'm wrong but I believe everyone one...
Its normal, most users get this. Control it with anti-dandruff / anti-fungal shampoo. Nizoral is often recommended, but you can also try Head and Shoulders.
Yeah members of my family and closest friend who know have all told at least one other person about my regime. My mother in particular feels she has to tell most of her friends, even her ironing lady.
But back to my friends, I feel as though it's such a significant step for me to make that...
I've had great results with propecia and minoxidil, both of which I've been on for 11 months now. However the corners of my forehead (between the temples and crown- you know the two areas,) have been growing little hairs very slowly. Unfortunately I've always got a build up of gunk in those two...
