been trying topical d3 in olive oil and my rate of hair growth changed
I need more time to make a full assessment, maybe 2 months before I make a conclusion
but after 2 weeks I noticed the change.
I think the theory was you lose hair so your scalp is exposed to more sunshine,
and therefore you get more vitamin D
I think the problem is some people don't convert vitamin D from the sun into the active form

This study mentions calcipotriol, but not normal vitamin D supplements, seemed to help.
However the study sometimes confuses areata with androgenic alopecia.
