Why would you recommend your friend to get on finasteride? If I were your friend, I would use minoxidil instead, and if I still had doubts about the usage of finasteride, I would read the bible, because I rather toy with my mind than toying with my hormones, even though I'm angry at God.

Finasteride is never worth it, because there will always be more side effects than desired effects. It's never the other way around. If you toy with your hormones, your hormones will eventually toy with you.
