2 Questions:
1. If I ask the hospital, do you think they may tell me the gender/age of the recipient?
2. Let's assume that some pregnant woman got it, usually it's a 100% chance that she will be affected? What is the general statistics?
What can I do after donating blood while taking finasteride? 2 Years ago, I donated blood and I CANT remember if I told the nurse that I am taking finasteride (most likely I did say but I just can't remember). Now I am feeling guilty that I may have affected a pregnant woman or a pubescent boy.
I've always wondered about the possibility of 'getting everything back' (even after a time) if treated, for example, with a heavy feminine regime such as those of transgender ones. What's the insight on this? Do these people get their hair back on such regimes?
I was taking Proscar for like 1 year and 1 month when suddenly I couldn't find it anymore in my local market. All major pharmacists said that it's currently out of production. They offered alternatives and so I resumed my regime with Prostacare which, obviously, has finasteride in it.

As the title suggests, I regularly started finasteride exactly last year. Hair loss-wise, I am at the NW2 stage, I have waist-length curly but thin hair and the legendary retrograde alopecia (thin sides and behind the ear), I have also used minoxidil for 5 months without any result. My take:
1. finasteride or no...
I am NW2 but I look as NW0 since I have very long hair (at waist) and I part it in the middle. So, my bald temples are perfectly covered lol.
On a side note, I probably lost my temples 4 or 5 years ago when I started to grow my hair and part it in the middle. Had I not parted it in the middle...
've been on finasteride for almost 10 months now, I also only weight at 60Kg (~120lbs). You won't believe what happened with me. Once I started finasteride 10 months ago, I had a significant chest pain for 2 - 3 straight months! Yes, I started to obsess day and night about the appearance of my "chest"...
For how long have you been on finasteride? What's your Norwood measure?
Yeah but if you read the other study, they said that it is a sign of a severe one; with severe, I can understand that one would lose his hair in terms of a year or two. That's what severe means on these boards I think...
I cannot shave it because the rest of my hair is waist-length, and since I part my hair in the middle, both my bald temples and my thin sides (dont really care about behind the ears or nap-line since even girls sometimes have hair loss over there) are really hidden and so I like appear NW0 for...
Oh dear, this is so confusing!
I, myself, have what is known as retrograde alopecia; thin short hair on the sides, behind the ears and napline (although I have VERY LONG hair elsewhere). So this is a new not-so-encouraging term to discover today! I don't know if researchers differentiate...
