Doing something is always better than doing nothing. Even if that something seems to be in vain at least you have peace of mind that you gave it your best effort.

I don't understand this. Is it that big of a deal to just slip into a bathroom and apply your minoxidil at night? Why go through all that worry and fear just because you're afraid some roommate for a night is going to find out that you're actually a real human being and are losing some hair?
