Feel Like I'm Running Out Of Options

I haven't heard of RU58841 before, what is it? My doctor is calling my today so I'm going to ask him about Dutasteride I'll see if I can post some pictures when I get home, but the gist of it is just hair thinning from the crown to the front consistently for the last 5 years, possibly slower...

Feel Like I'm Running Out Of Options

Quick backstory, I started on minoxidil to combat hair loss and just found that it wasn't doing anything, so I started on 0.5mg of finasteride in 2016 and stopped the minoxidil. Since maybe 2017 I've been on 1mg of finasteride (and nizoral shampoo) and my hair is the worst it's ever been, I...

    Running Out Of Options

Here's my question if you don't fancy reading the rest: What alternatives are there to minoxidil? I don't think it works for me. Been on 0.5mg of finasteride for about 5 months now and I've seen zero improvement, things have only been getting much worse. Recently restarted using minoxidil but that...

    1 month into finasteride

Are you still shedding? I'm not sure I can afford to lose 4 months worth of shedding, it's slowly getting worse!

    1 month into finasteride

I'm one month into taking 0.5mg of finasteride and I've started shedding a few hairs when I shower, that means it's working right? How long does shedding go on for? How long until I should start to see results? I stopped using minoxidil when I started finasteride as it wasn't doing anything for me...

    minoxidil made my hair worse?

Ok I'm going to quit minoxidil and hope my hair doesn't fall out until the finasteride starts kicking I'm. Are there any other topical solutions I could perhaps try? I'm using nizoral shampoo as well but again that seems to be having no effect

    minoxidil made my hair worse?

Hi thanks for the reply, do you think I should stop using minoxidil? I'm worried the places where it's been used my hair will fall out if I stop! I've just started taking finasteride so maybe that will help in a few month, what do you think?

    minoxidil made my hair worse?

I've been taking minoxidil for over a year now and I've seen no improvements. Started with rogaine and switch to a generic 5% minoxidil brand. The top area where I've been applying it has just been getting thinner and thinner and it feels like it's because of the minoxidil (even though I was...

Finally, I Am Officially On Finasteride

Get your doctor to prescribe you a drug called proscar and order it online. It's finasteride but in 5mg tablets so you need to cut it into 5ths and take 1mg a day. It's 20 quid a pack which will last a good few months compared to propecia which is crazy expensive

Where do you guys get your finasteride in the UK?

I just got back from the pharmacy who told me Propecia would cost £151 for 3 months... So where do you guys buy your cheap finasteride from in the UK? I have a prescription from the doctor but I'm not quite sure how this works ordering medication that isn't from a pharmacy. Any help?

    27. Hairloss. Finasteride sides. Should I go for hair transplant?

As far as I'm aware a hair transplant won't do the trick. When they do the surgery they also put you on finastride, so having it done without taking finasteride would mean that you'll carry on going bald but have a few strips of hair wherever they've been moved too. I think the alternative to that is...
