    time to seriously reevaluate propecia

No sexual side effects whatsoever here, after 16 months, nor for a significant percentage of the people on this site, who tend to be the crazies and/or the people who get bad luck. Maybe there's a greater chance of side effects than the study reported, but I certainly can't complain about side...

A proper site for bald/shaved men

Yes, but not for the reasons he said.

    Finasteride eternal shedding

Did you quit finasteride in there somewhere? If not, how can you be sure that you don't shed with it at all? It's possible your starting it just coincided with your baldness progressing aggressively, and that it has failed to slow it down much (if at all).

Someone make me feel better please...

I've been on it for 6 months - it held pretty steady for 3 months with very slow continued shedding, then abruptly nosedived into looking like crap with massive frontal loss, then held steadily at that level of crap for 3 months, and now I'm having hair come out like crazy again (it's fine...

shedding hairs have changed, does this mean anything?

The same thing happens in progressive loss, the small ones would fall out to be replaced by even smaller and weaker hairs in that case. All you can do is wait, unless there's some way you can tell from looking at the falling hairs, which I don't think there is. I'm losing hairs of all...

why am i shedding new growth!?

The little ones being shed could either mean they're going to be replaced by even smaller/weaker hairs, or that they will be replaced by stronger ones. As far as I know there's no way to tell besides waiting.

More serious health problem causin hair loss?

Where's the evidence cavemen didn't go bald?

Can ANYONE give me hope?! (positive update 6.2.07) page .7

After avoiding looking at my hair for a couple weeks, I've discovered my right temple seems to be regrowing in an area about the same (or maybe even lower) than it was when I started the stuff. Left is still worse than baseline, but right seems to be back to baseline or better. It's more...

Opinions on having a son knowing he will be bald?

"Fairly good" = >10% chance he won't, I guess? I don't know why you're being a*** about this. I think if only 50% of his genetic material is defective there's a fairly good chance the son wouldn't go bald at a young age? There are plenty of people who don't follow in their father's footsteps...

Six months of nothing but agony

He was? I thought that at the time of the big shed and regrowth he was only on propecia. I don't remember now though.

Opinions on having a son knowing he will be bald?

What myth am I propogating? If he marries a woman whose family has no history of hair loss, there is a fairly good chance his son will not have it, just like I said. Of course he very possibly would still have it, since it can come from either side, but it would tip the odds back the other way...

    Brad Pitt Bald

The way you go on about things, I think the BEST thing that could happen to you would be for all your hair to fall out overnight so you can get over this nutty behavior. I'm not wishing ill on you, it just seems like you have some serious mental problems relating to hair loss that will not be...

Help! Should I stop Propecia now?

The odds are, it would have been that bad by march without propecia's help, as I'm definitely not experiencing any noticeable sheds at this point in time. Slow worsening, maybe, but that couldn't possibly be caused by propecia. If things are still looking terrible with no hint of recovery by...

Six months of nothing but agony

Your account falls within this very site's description of the common SUCCESSFUL effects of propecia, you just quit it before you gave it anywhere close to enough time to do anything positive. Same deal with 95% of the people who complain on this subforum, though many of them don't even quit it...
