Well so if I did get my mum's gene (very unlikely cuz my hair density is nowhere close to anybody in my mum's side ) , would I still start balding at this young age even if my mum's dad started thinning out at late 60s?

So yea , I'm 17 and will be 18 in 2 months ... Basically , my dad's side people haven't gone bald. My dad and his dad all had hair. My dad and everyone in his family had that M shape hairline,but it never went back,just stayed M and hence he had all hair on top. He doesn't have super thick hair...
