So I just received a package of dutasteride that I ordered from India, and it is produced under the label Combutas. I usually use Dr. Reddys and I've never heard of this brand before.
Anyone heard of combutas or tried it before?
So... After doing some slight Googling, I gotta say that I am totally confused by what this stuff is. Is it made from olive oil? Or is it Carbon 60 dissolved in olive oil?
I always hear about 10 and 15% minoxidil all over these forums. Where in the world are you people getting this stuff from? I can't seem to find it even in the darkest corners of the net! :D
Hmm, that's an interesting theory. I know it's only anecdotal, but I've been on Dutasteride for a month now. And I've experienced no side effects whatsoever. I'm also naturally very thin. Maybe there's something to that.
If that's the case, my next question would be: is finasteride more...
Well the method of action of minoxidil is still not fully understood. But I remember reading somewhere that minoxidil is believed to be a strong oxidant that inhibits collagen production in the skin. So it makes sense that anywhere your skin folds and creases on your face would create a lasting...
Well, I didn't get frown lines. But what I did get were several fine lines starting across my forehead. You could attribute it to me being 25, but they happened about 2 months after I started minoxidil, so I don't think it's an age thing. Luckily I'm a skin care junkie, so some retinol definitely...
I've heard a lot of good things about taurine in general, and I've never considered supplementing it yet.
To be honest, I think the biggest help so far has been doing scalp massage. It's one of the few things that I've actually been able to feel have made a difference. Before starting scalp...
That's very interesting, and very in depth. To summarize, I guess what they're saying is adding isoflavones could to reduce stronger forms of androgens and estrogens, and keep the balance that gets thrown off when we start messing with hormones? Biology is insane. No wonder we can't figure out...
Well, I've been on minoxidil for about a year now, and have only seen more thinning. About a month ago I decided to add scalp massage twice a day, and a whole mess of supplements to see if there's anyway to quit shedding without having to take finasteride. I'll post some status updates in another month or...
Yeah, there's definitely a little soreness while I'm doing the massage. But it goes away shortly after. But keeping my hair is definitely worth 20 mins and a little soreness in the fingers! :) Besides, I figure that with the constant exercise, my fingers will get used to it after a while.
I guess I'll put my $0.02 in as my first post here! I did start doing scalp massage about 1 month ago. This study is actually what prompted me to start doing it. I do 10 mins in the morning, and 10 mins at night. As far as what kind of massage—none of that relaxing barely touching stuff. I use...
