Re: Wi11iam's Story (22, min+spironolactone+nizoral /w pics)
WHat the hell??
SO did you start your currently regime (spironolactone, revita, minoxidil) straight after stopping finasteride? or some time after?
Re: Which (topical) product would you recommend for thickening?
there is currently only 1 topical which is proven to regrow/thicken hair and that is minoxidil
Most people NW3 or less could probably get that hair doing the following:
Propecia 1mg taken at the same time every day forever
Minoxidil twice daily forever
Topical anti-androgen such as RU or spironolactone once a day forever
Nizoral every 2nd day followed by a good conditioner forever
After 1-2...
Hi toivonen
Thakns for posting. Is this the prostate supplement you're taking: http://www.nowfoods.com/Products/Produc ... 079442.htm?
My question is: what are the logical benefits for hair loss of the different ingredients?
I see it contains saw palmetto, which we know may be a 5ar inhibitor...
I'm not sure of the answer to that. I think 2 possible reasons:
1. Puberty (where testosterone levels increase greatly)
2. Again, genetic predisposition - it's simply built in to our genetic structure that after a certain length of time being exposed to androgens, androgen-sensitive hair will...
What on earth are you talking about?
It's not really about "cause". male pattern baldness is not a disease. You don't really say something "causes" you to get blue eyes, or what "causes" you to be short, or what "causes" when your hair will grey, or what "causes" how many wrinkles you will get.
2 things are...
There's really not much anyone can say. You need to give finasteride 12 months to give it a chance to work. After 12 months you can reassess and if your hair is the same or better, then it's working.
0.25mg decreases DHT by only slightly less than 1mg. However, it will also only decrease the...
Having used amphetamine before, it really only works as an appetite suppressant which means I would lose a sh*t load of muscle too. Would really need something anabolic for my purposes I believe. Anavar actually looks like a wonder drug to be honest. What a pity.
Out of interest, what's your...
Bryan,
I've never heard of increased testosterone (say, for example, exogenous test) increasing SHBG (granted, these are only anecdotal reports). Further, the following are the views of a well respected "doctor" on a bodybuilding website:
1. Increasing Testosterone reduces SHBG
2. Increasing...
ello,
Thanks for your ideas. I will look in to them.
In a bit of a rush so just a short reply for now:
T3 interests me. My thyroid results showed borderline hypo. Also, it's used as a fat burning tool. Lastly, it will raise SHBG. hmm sounds good.
Hmm, looks good but I will not be able to get that in to Australia.. and doubt I will be able to find local. Aus is very hard to get stuff in to.. any other ideas?
Many thanks again for your help
I see..
Well I had a blood test about a year ago and it showed very low SHBG and high free test. My doctor actually commented on this (at the time I hadn't even thought about balding). A few months later I started to lose hair really fast.
I started 1.25mg finasteride and about 6 weeks later I...
