New treatments coming out 2024 or max 2025.

Minoxodil does work for the vast majority of users. It's just a very limited effect. It mildly boosts the hair you have left, and that's it. No significant "new" hair. And it doesn't stop the long term androgen damage from accumulating while you are on it.

HMI-115 PRLR antibody: The Most Promising Treatment Ever

They could have cranked the contrast around, gotten more aggressive with styling differences, and made the results look WAY, WAY better than that. I doubt those pictures were intentionally taken to be deceptive. The difference is too subtle to work as a fraud. At worst they might have...

HMI-115 PRLR antibody: The Most Promising Treatment Ever

I agree. I'm just keeping my thoughts conservative. If this gets to market (without costing the price of a house or having deal-breaker side effects) then I think it is a once-in-a-generation game changer. It makes baldness more preventable. Even for those guys that it cannot regrow (because...

HMI-115 PRLR antibody: The Most Promising Treatment Ever

That's minor but it's a detectable improvement. Worst case, if it never regrows very much, I think this stuff might still be a game-changer for loss prevention. It might do what Finasteride was originally touted to do - make baldness 70% preventable. Like, in a realistic pratical way that...

BOOM! Huge news: Stemson on track to bless us with the holy grail soon!

Exactly. Penis and breast enlargement pills are not big money-makers, either. It's not due to any lack of demand for the idea. The existing pills don't sell because they don't work.

Very Impressive Dermarolling And Minxodil Results - From Tressless

Yeah that dermmatch makes a big difference. From what I have seen in person, concealers are not totally convincing when you rely on them that heavily. (They work best as a minor boost. Just like with transplants and medications and every other hair loss fix.) I would guess other people...

Very Impressive Dermarolling And Minxodil Results - From Tressless

That combover is painful to see. If it's that bad in those picture conditions then I can only imagine how it looks in harsh sunlight. If that's really your daily style then you should probably do something different. Either get more aggressive about disguising the loss (transplants...

HMI-115 PRLR antibody: The Most Promising Treatment Ever

    1. How does it compare in real life, where XX percent of Finasteride users end up under-dosing or quitting because of side effects? HMI will probably have side effects too but they are unlikely to be as much of a detriment. 2. Finasteride's regrowth is basically just a mild rebound...

HMI-115 PRLR antibody: The Most Promising Treatment Ever

If HMI can even just give a dramatic slowing/stoppage in future hair loss or a mild reversal, that would be huge for us. MANY more guys would be transplantable into Norwood#1-3 range if they had the luxury of dumping more of their donor hair into the existing loss areas. I think Vertoporfin (an...

HMI-115 PRLR antibody: The Most Promising Treatment Ever

I wouldn't call these results awesome by normal people's standards. But knowing about hair loss, and considering the difficulty of regrowing on slick-bald skin, IMO it may be better than Minoxidil. Also, this recent pic is only 6 months after treatment. For all we know he might keep...

HMI-115 PRLR antibody: The Most Promising Treatment Ever

A topical version of HMI would probably need its own set of clinical trials.

HMI-115 PRLR antibody: The Most Promising Treatment Ever

"If you use HMI then you have to quit Finasteride & minoxidil. They cannot be combined." - said no HMI researcher, ever. "I don't wanna get a series of injections that make my hair grow back long-term. I'd rather keep putting greasy Minoxidil on my head and taking dick-limping...

HMI-115 PRLR antibody: The Most Promising Treatment Ever

Oooh, that's a valid question. The guy could have finished the trial and then started taking Finasteride or minoxidil. That needs to be ruled out.
