Preventing Hair Loss
There are numerous ingredients on the market that have some logic backing them as "DHT Inhibitors". Many of these are compiled into groups and offered as composite products. Every little bit helps, the logic goes. When it comes to treating hair loss, you should always have a foundational regimen consisting of clinically proven treatments.
From there, its your prerogative to add supplemental treatments which may boost your results (after 6 to 12 months). Kourosh DHT Blocker falls into the category of a supplemental product for the purpose of inhibiting further hair loss. Just like Propecia, Revivogen, and other topical antiandrogens, Kourosh DHT Blocker has ingredients intended to reduce the activity of 5-alpha reductase enzyme in the scalp.
Who is this Product For?
This product is for Men or Women experiencing hair loss that feel a topical antiandrogen approach may be beneficial to their hair loss. This product is not intended as a growth stimulant, but as a way to help maintain current hair counts and prevent further loss over the long term.
What's In It?
Kourosh DHT Blocker contains a lightweight ingredient list found in several other of our products. The main component is Topical Azelaic Acid, which has been used for many years as a topical treatment for acne. The logic follows that there may be some benefit to hair loss, as it has the ability to modify hormonal processes in the skin when applied topically.
The main ingredient list for this product is Azelaic Acid, Zinc Sulfate, and Vitamins B6 which are commonly included in topical antiandrogen treatments as they are assumed to work synergistically to help prevent the negative effects of DHT activity. Other ingredients include Laurocapram, Vitamins B3, B5, B6, B7, d-Pantehine, Water, Ethyl Alcohol, and other carrier solutions.
Setting Your Expectations
Please remember that treating hair loss is a slow process that requires persistence and patience. Any legitimate hair loss treatment will take between 6-12 months to begin working, and a full 2 years before optimal results are attained. So set your expectations accordingly. There may be shedding periods in between. Shedding is a natural part of any effective treatment regimen. Existing hairs are ejected and new, healthier hairs are generated in their place. It does not always happen, but it should be expected. Especially any time you modify your treatment regimen. This is why starting small (with 1-3 core products) and waiting 6 months to a year before adding anything new, is an important part of treating hair loss effectively.
Take photos of your hair in bright light, both wet and dry. This will help you keep perspective as time goes on. Especially through shedding periods which may cause you to think you've lost more hair. Photos will help you see that things haven't gotten any worse.
