Propecia is well-known. Men take it to prevent hair loss. Women can't take it. But both Men and Women can make use of this topical alternative, and it should help if you are experiencing androgenetic alopecia. Topical antiandrogens have become some of our most popular products. They are safe and effective for use in both men and women with thinning hair, and can be used in conjunction with Propecia (men only) and Rogaine (men & women) to topically enhance the effects.

Follione DHT Scalp Therapy

There's a healthy skepticism out there about natural products, but HairLossTalk does not carry very many products, and there's a reason for this. Most have zero science backing them as effective hair loss treatments. The natural products we do carry have one major criteria fulfilled: data backing their ingredients. Follione DHT Scalp Therapy is a unique product that takes advantage of solid science on some little-known natural ingredients. Most importantly, they've all been shown to have beneficial antiandrogen properties, which puts them in the same class of hair loss treatments as Propecia, S5 Cream Topical Spironolactone, Revivogen, and Kourosh.

Antiandrogens are in the group known as the "Big Three" that many of our members use. This three-pronged approach prevents (antiandrogens), stimulates (growth stimulants), and calms (anti-inflammatories) for the best possible chance of results after 1 year of use. The typical Big Three is Propecia, Rogaine, and Nizoral (or Regenepure DR Shampoo). Spironolactone works for many women orally, but is not an option for men due to feminizing effects.

How Does it Work?

Follione DHT Scalp Therapy absorbs only into the scalp skin, and locally stops the formation of DHT, as well as blocks androgen receptors in the follicle. This product is a perfect complement to a Revivogen / Tricomin regimen as well, which provide a natural alternative to Propecia / Rogaine.

Setting Your Expectations

Please remember that treating hair loss is a slow process that requires persistence and patience. Any legitimate hair loss treatment will take between 6-12 months to begin working, and a full 2 years before optimal results are attained. So set your expectations accordingly.

There may be shedding periods in between. Shedding is a natural part of any effective treatment regimen. Existing hairs are ejected and new, healthier hairs are generated in their place. It does not always happen, but it should be expected. Especially any time you modify your treatment regimen. This is why starting small (with 1-3 core products) and waiting 6 months to a year before adding anything new, is an important part of treating hair loss effectively.

Take photos of your hair in bright light, both wet and dry. This will help you keep perspective as time goes on. Especially through shedding periods which may cause you to think you've lost more hair. Photos will help you see that things haven't gotten any worse.
