When is this new minoxidil formula coming out?

2 questions:

When is this new formula of minoxidil(10%) coming out?


I've never used minoxidil before so should I wait for the new stuff or try the extra strength 5%?

Well there is already 5, 12.5, and 15 already. 5% is a good mark. Alot have this in their regimen.

2007, probably in the summer or winter. I heard it was going to be released late.

Connetics came out with Q4 2005 earnings and this was news -- it would seem that it would be Q4 2006 for the foam.

In January 2006, Pfizer received FDA approval for Men's Rogaine® (minoxidil, 5%) foam using Connetics' VersaFoam® technology. Connetics owns U.S. Patent No. 6,946,120, covering minoxidil foam, which was granted in September 2005. Connetics anticipates receiving initial royalties from sales of both products beginning in late 2006.

If I had to guess, I would say the 10% foam would probably be better or at least equal to the 15% minoxidil currently out there -- if only because the foam promises better absorbancy thus (hopefully) better effectiveness.
