What's the difference between Fincar and Finpecia?

Finpecia is 1mg Finasteride where Fincar is 5mg Finasteride. If you get Fincar, you may want to split it up into fourths or so to give you approximately 1.25 mg. If you get Finpecia, the standard 1mg should be fine, unless you feel the need to try a lower dose.
Fincar = 5mg of finasteride (manufactured by Cipla)
Proscar = 5mg of finasteride (manufactured by Merck)
Finpecia = 1mg of finasteride (manufactured by Cipla)
Propecia = 1mg of finasteride (manufactured by Merck)
A 1mg dose is the suggested amount for treating male pattern baldness, more than 1mg will unlikely bring additional gains and may increase the likelyhood of side effects.
Many people buy Fincar or Proscar (both 5mg) and chop them into 4 or 5 pieces for daily consumption. Chop into 4 pieces for convenience and ease of dividing or 5 pieces for a more accurate dose.
