UV Light/Tanning units

On two sites I have read that Telogen Effluvium can be caused by UV light. Has anyone heard of that?Has anyone had hair loss after using a tanning unit? I'm male but I am aware that Many women suffer from Telogen Effluvium.

I have been tanning for the last year and have been losing tons of hair too. I wonder if there is a connection now? Shoot!
