thinning or regrowth?

I recently started taking avodart a few times a week (goin on a couple of months now) and was noticing that i have a lot of shorter hairs of basically the same density, as far as i can tel,l growing on and a little behind my hairline. There are lots of them, Im hoping they are the start of regrowth but am worried they are just miniaturizing. any one have any thoughts or similar experiences?

it seems more like regrowth than thinning.

i have the same thing. I even noticed these hairs before i started adding meds (i have partial male pattern baldness and Telogen Effluvium). Like you i wasnt sure if it was regrowth or more thinning so i asked my derm and she said there is no way to tell, youll have to wait and see as your hair goes through cycles. so bascially when these thin hairs fall out they may come back thinner or thicker.
