Good day, all.
By way of introduction, I am a 23 years old asian male.
In this thread, I would like to share the roller coaster experience of my hair, just for our reference.
As far as i remember, the very first time my hair started to recede slowly is in my high school years. However, due to the nature of my hair that is thick, anyone and I can hardly notice it.
Below is my hair conditions (mostly hairline) since November 2014. I apologize that I did not take the pictures with the same exact angle and lighting as I am too lazy for it.
As far as i remember, i use Spectral DNC-L twice a day only for the hairline. As you can see I still have quite full hairline here, an Norwood 2, i guess. But unfortunately, i started to losing ground since then
Look, my hairline started to recede and forming an Norwood 2 pattern. I always cut my side very short since this time to conceal the thinning temple. I started to consume 0.5mg Finasteride as of this time, as I remember.
I am not sure, if my hair is getting better or not. But I think I am maintaining it, as I consume Finasteride and start to increase the dose to 1mg/day along with Spectral DNC-L for the hairline
Again, I am not sure if my hairline is receded a little more or not. But the right temple is receded worse than the left. And the hairs in both temples area are getting thinner as fcukkk.
I started to use Minoxidil + RU Powder as of January 2017 only for the hairline.
My hairline continued to recede. But i personally think that the hair near the hairline and temple are getting better after I use minoxidil combined with RU Powder
Y'all should take note that besides minoxidil + RU Powder, I started to jump into 0.5mg Dutasteride tablet embedded with other beneficial vitamins for hair (name brand GranulerX) as of June 2017
This is my hair, one month after i started to consume 0.5mg dutasteride/EoD. Please note that i still use minoxidil + RU Powder for the hairline
I think my hair is getting better, but I am not sure if it is due to 0.5mg dutasteride or minoxidil + RU Powder
Same with the above, I am not sure if my hair is getting better (or not?) due to dutasteride or minoxidil + RU Powder
My hair definitely looked better. I start to use minoxidil + RU Powder less frequent, as I can finish 1 full bottle for 3/4 months as of this time
As you can see, my hair is definitely getting thicker on the temples area and hairline. But I hardly see any regrowth (or not?), as the 0.5mg dutasteride/EoD can only thicken what I have at that point.
But, surely my hair is getting better, as I can grow it longer (which I previously cant, due to the hair on the temples area are very thin).
I ceased from using minoxidil + RU Powder, and only consume the Dutasteride tablet that embedded with other beneficial ingredients
Eventho the general condition of my hair is getting better (especially the crown - dutasteride has thickened it quite a lot, seriously), I think my hairline and temples area are receding a bit especially when i pulled my hair back. I am not sure if it because i stopped using Minoxidil + RU Powder for my hairline or not. I only consume 0.5mg dutasteride/EoD this time.
That being said, I am not sure if it looks more receded because I grow the sides longer or not. Because, as we all balding guys know if you cut the sides shorter, it will 'conceal' the receding temple area.
That's all from me today. I suffered no side effects today, I guess.
In retrospect, my hair is getting thicker since I consume Dutasteride. But you guys are the judges, so let me know what you are thinking.
