Hi, I am 21 and have been losing hair since I was 16...I am a diffusing NW2...Mabye closer to NW3 these days.

I had abit of a shock 2 months ago when I realised how much my hair has thinned over just a 3 month period, although strangely despite a fair few hairs falling each day I have never shed to the extent many here talk about...dont wake up with hairs on pillow etc.. nevertheless if I rub my head lightly its guaranteed 2-3 will fall EVERY TIME...id estimate 20 or so fall out in shower - but overall 50-70 per day.

My hair is noticably thin across the entire frontal region in direct sunlight and I look almost bald when its wet.

5 weeks ago my doctor prescribed me 1 months prescrip propecia (proper) and 1 month generic - (long story but mainly my fault).
I took the propecia with no major difference however over the last few pills so after a month Im sure I noticed a reduction in the number of hairs falling.

I have now took 1 weeks worth of generic and seems the same as before now....is this likely to be mental or could I be back to square 1?

paranoid and uninformed (not in a bad way but its true bud)

you cant tell anything from 1 weeks use mate u need to be using it for 6+ months probably closer to 18 months before making valid conclusions

particulry given how many of the best responders to finasteride (generic or propecia....no difference at all!!) all have a shed anywhere from week one up until 6 months before getting good results.

stick at it and buy whatevers cheaper
